Michael βBeansβ Budani born in 1991, and was raised in Massapequa, New York. He developed his passion for food there beginning his cooking journey with his grandparents before he was 5 years old. They would enjoy making italian classics such as Sunday sauces, chicken cutlets, and homemade pizzas.
Michael started in the industry at 15 years old as a bottle and prep boy for a local bagel store. After Highschool he wanted to continue his path into the culinary arts. He attended Johnson & Wales University to strengthen his knowledge in the food industry, through working at a various assortment of restaurants and different cuisines.
In January of 2021 we opened our doors at 410 Lake Avenue St James NY. At Beanβs we keep the traditional old school process of hand rolled bagels. After that process the dough is properly fermented then kettle boiled and deck oven baked to provide perfect texture and crunch!
